Lucky Challenge Number 7!

Okay, I'll confess to stealing this creative challenge from another blog, but I think it's a fun project, so I'm jackin' that joker and running with it. The assignment: illustrate a line from a favorite song. From Free Fallin' to Freebird, keep it funky, keep it fresh.
"I want a girl with uninterrupted prosperity, who uses a machete to cut through red tape" ...from "Short Skirt, Long Jacket" by Cake  Jesse's song of choice.

In the Hall of the Mountain King (Norwegian: I Dovregubbens hall): a piece of orchestral music composed by Edvard Grieg for the sixth scene of Act II in Henrik Ibsen's play Peer Gynt. (Interesting note: I didn't even know the music had been composed for use in a play. I sketched this, then read the brief synopsis of Act II, scene VI. So the depiction here is, in fact, ridiculously inaccurate.) --Christian's song of choice.

The Sixth Challenge

Baseball is America's pastime, and Football is the place every American spends their time. But there is a new professional sport taking America by storm...... Croquet. Design a logo for your local cities Pro Croquet team. Or for another city if would like, if you are too good for your home.

In the world of competitive croquet, the Pensacola Rednecks are in a league of their own...mainly because they don't actually play. Instead, during matches, they swill beer, watch college football, and make fun of "those hoity-toity gays in their polo shirts."
The Cleveland Vandals hailing from Jesse's hometown in Ohio bring a colorful croquet style unseen by many other more refined croquet clubs.

Challenge Fiver

Wow! It's been over nine months since we last posted, time for a refresher. Our new challenge, a la Jesse, is...... iMobile. Create your concept of a car manufactured by Apple. Let's make Steve Jobs proud!
Dereks Apple Whip. A little skewed thanks to my camera, but you get the jist of it.

Christian's iCar (sticking with Apple's one-syllable monikers there). Also, I discovered that graphite is highly reflective when using flash photography. Who knew?

Here tis...Jesse's version of the amazing i-Car. You can't tell by the picture, but handle for the door is one of those touch, slidy things you unlock the i-Phone with on the screen...when you slide it the door opens......I was proud of that lil idea, so just leave me alone.

Challenge Four

Conceptualize a (eh?) Star-Wars-esque character. Rebels or Imperial: choose your destiny! And may the force be with you, eh?

And yes, the supreme cheeziness of this post is fully intended.
